Come along to our next concert and help preserve woodlands for future generations!
at the Friends’ Meeting House, 43 St. Giles, Oxford
on October 7th, 2017
for our special concert in support of the Tree Charter.
This significant initiative launches in November and is the descendent of the historic Charter of the Forest, contemporary with Magna Carta and giving important rights to the common people. The concert will follow on from work we are doing earlier in the day at a smaller event in Wytham Woods and the first of our public events in support of the Tree Charter. We’ll be following this up over the next few months with one or more workshops.
Entrance to the concert is free, thanks to sponsorship from the Tree Charter ………and we very much hope you will sign the charter while you’re there (if you haven’t already done so.)
It’s probably pretty obvious that we like trees?
This autumn we’re getting involved in the launch of the Tree Charter and will be putting on a couple of events in early October. At least one of them will have opportunities for our supporters to join in . As things stand, one will be under cover in central Oxford while the other is more of an open-air affair, amongst trees. We’ll let you know all about it – times, places and other details – once we have finalised it all. In the meantime SAVE THE DATE.
…..and instrumentals as well, of course! We return to the Wesley Memorial, in central Oxford, for a third year to give a lunchtime concert on Thursday, 13 April. Expect the usual wide range of moods and instrumental/vocal combinations in a programme that highlights some of our recent work as well as older ideas. See you there!
Fractofusus returns to St. Michael at the North Gate for another lunchtime gig, this time in aid of Syrian refugees via Médecins sans Frontieres. As usual, the programme will encompass older and newer work, vocal and instrumental, more and less improvised. We hope to see you there!
10 March sees our return to the Wesley Memorial Church in Oxford for a free lunchtime concert. We’re greatly looking forward to revisiting this splendid space and presenting our unique mix of styles, moods and sounds in a programme for early Spring.
We hope to see you there! Here are the details for your diary.
